I just couldn't get it to work on my computer, like there were so many things that It wanted me to fix.. I hate doing this as I know this is a good game can be having played it years ago. But its a buggy mess to get working now. To put this into context, I had a long weekend and figured I would bust out the Fallout 3. Did my first install on the Friday around about lunch time and as I write this it is Monday morning around breakfast time. Over 3 days I only manged to get in about 2 and a half hours of actual game play as the game crashed every 2 - 5 minutes. The rest of my time has been taken up with re-installs, patch jobs and going through every fix and bug report I could find.I know I can get this working properly, its just gonna involve me having to take another stab at it and go through everything with a fine-tooth comb (and a lot of swearing). But this is the reason why I can not recommend this in 2019. For the average person who just wants to pick up a game and play it, this is not the game for them.. This is not compatible with Windows 8+. There are other platforms such as GOG that have patched the game to work with 64-bit systems and windows 8+. This currently has a silver rating through ProtonDB.com meaining that YMMV when running in Linux..
